DINE, unwind and pamper yourself at Nexus, a new integrated lifestyle centre in Bangsar South City.

UOA Group celebrated the grand launch of Nexus, the latest addition to the 24.3ha award-winning Bangsar South integrated city development, last Saturday.

In conjunction with the launch, there were lion dance performances, dance fiesta, ukulele group performance, a charity walk as well as activities for children.

The inaugural Bangsar South Charity Walk Together 2014, which was part of UOA’s corporate social responsibility programme, saw more than 1,500 people taking a 4.3km walk around Bangsar South.

The group raised RM60,000 for three underprivileged children’s charities, namely Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Perlindungan Teratak Nur Insan, Rumah Victory Children’s Home and Stepping Stones Living Centre.

Each charity home received RM20,000 at the mock cheque presentation ceremony during the grand launch.

UOA Group representative Kong Sze Choon said: “We believe this initiative will help chart a better future for the underprivileged children and we will continue to support such programmes in our endeavour to foster the spirit of caring for the betterment of the communities we are engaged in.”

The charity walk was jointly organised by Nexus in collaboration with Capri by Fraser Hotel Residences and Invito Hotel Suites.

Nexus is dedicated to the creation of a vibrant community hub that offers relaxation and enjoyment through its dining, retail, health and leisure options.

Kong said the wide array of eateries and cafés render it the ideal place for social events or gatherings with families and friends.

“Featuring a modern space of more than 27,870.9sq m nett lettable area over five levels, Nexus will be a buzzing social hub for diners and visitors alike with its welcoming atmosphere, exciting lifestyle concepts, amenities, services and ample parking facilities,” he said.

Diners can expect an extensive selection of dining choices ranging from local to international fare with a myriad of tantalising cuisines such as Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Western and Malaysian.

Apart from being a food paradise, Nexus also boasts a number of wellness facilities including a beauty salon, a manicure and pedicure studio, as well as a hair salon.

It also houses a home décor store and a preschool that offers children enrichment programmes.

A fitness club and a fertility centre cater to the health and well-being needs of the modern clientele.

Tenants include Souled Out, Yumiqi Chinese Cuisine Restaurant, Edo Ichi Japanese Dining, Starbucks, Thirdwave, Chili Expresso, Tenmaya, Nexo Restaurant & Bar, Absolute Fitness, Sunfert Fertility Centre, Elite House Day Care Centre and Joys Beauty Garden (Dermalogica).

“Being 90% tenanted and offering more than 30 dining experiences alongside a diverse range of lifestyle services, the Nexus development complements our efforts to develop it into the ultimate food and lifestyle destination,” said Kong.

Nexus is further complemented by Connexion@Nexus, the first fully-integrated F&B and banqueting facility in the city.

Located on the top level, Connexion@Nexus covers an urban floor space of 13,935.5sq m with an entire floor dedicated to customers’ banqueting, wedding, function, seminar, conference and corporate event needs.

Managed by UOA’s hospitality arm UOA Hospitality Sdn Bhd, it boasts three pillarless ballrooms with high ceilings, four contemporary function rooms, a fully furnished auditorium and a beautifully landscaped gazebo as well as a business centre with WiFi hotspot.

It is poised to become a centre of business and leisure by offering the ideal venue for any event coupled with ample parking space in the highly accessible Bangsar South.

“With Connexion@Nexus, we hope to create a new standard in hospitality where guests can experience top-notch facilities and outstanding services delivered by our professional in-house banquet team,” said Kong.
